In the beginning there was only a brief idea that took wings, expanded in all its glory and now, like the Phoenix from the ashtray, rises into the air in the wake of the flames kindled by flashes of inspiration.

This collection has set itself the task of capturing and illustrating the impression and feeling that we get from the mere sound of a melodious German word by means of analog light images.

Starting with Aa like Alpha. Antlitz. Annähern. to Zz like Zeitgeist. Zynismus. Zahnpasta. It is not only about the sound of the words themselves, but also about the mood and the associative and emotional effect of the word combinations strung together.

The collection of beautiful words of the LICHT. BILD. POESIE.  Photography Book as well as the ideology behind it makes active and creative use of all kinds of beautiful words in the German language by critically questioning them, redefining them and using interpretative freedom for visual processing.
